# Traits & Body Parts

PETS are composed of seven different traits:

1. Type 
2. Body Color 
3. Background Color
4. <mark style="color:blue;">**Head**</mark>&#x20;
5. <mark style="color:blue;">**Item**</mark>&#x20;
6. <mark style="color:blue;">**Eyes**</mark>&#x20;
7. <mark style="color:blue;">**Mouth**</mark>&#x20;

Of those seven, the *Head*, *Item*, *Eyes*, and *Mouth* traits are also Body Parts.

Body Parts will play a key role in the Raregotchi games, giving PETS different abilities, skills, and powers in the PVP and PVE modes.
